V. Crnjanski Spasojević January 30, 2014
VERICA Vasojević, judge of the Criminal High Court in Novi Pazar (Serbia). from the beginning of the week is under the watchful eye of the police because of death threats.
The agony began 27 January, at St. Sava when the hearing in the case of Semir Koca (known as Yankee), Faris Čekrlić and Izudin Dedić started; they're all charged with attempted aggravated murder.
- Chaos begun In the courtroom and Koca (one of the suspects) repeated several times with a raised index finger:
" In the name of Allah! I recognize only Allah. I don't recognize you, not this court, nothing! "His fellows shouted," We should have killed him! " (the guy they attacked with axes and who barely survived) - says Judge Vasojević.
And the crowd yelled, "Get out! You'll go out of the courtroom, and you'll see... we know how!" Dedic broke the door of the courtroom.
That evening, on social networks, especially on "Facebook", the judge Vasojević received various threats. The previous night, a group of these people (Bosnian muslims living in Raska and Novi Pazar area) gathered under the judge's window and shouted threats.
Koca is 21 years of age and since he was 14 he already commited 2 murders and one attempted murder. He has been in juvenile prison in Valjevo.
He was brought to the court in front of the Judge of his case, Vasojevic, because of an attempted aggravated murder of Emir Selmanovic. In a very brutal way hitting Emirs head with an axe, and only because Emirs snowball hit his car.
Koca was sentenced to 14 years, Cekrlic 10 and Dedic 7 years.
Judge Vasojevic says that those are not maximum penalties that they could get but except for them not being satisfied with the verdicts, I am convinced that what adds to the problem is the fact that I am Serb.
After the attack on Selmanovic, they were in custody but the court of appeal released them.
I warned that they will commit a murder in less than 10 days, and thats what happened..
