Ilijas Bosnia & Herzegovina, 1994. (Translation by Den Galna Serben)
Igor Kisic (1980-1994) the youngest fighter in the army of the Republic of Serbs (VRS). Born July 9, 1980 in Visoko, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
He studied theology and attended church regularly every Sunday. He collected Serbian flags and badges and he was rooting for the club Red Star in Belgrade. (90% of Serb people all over the world are rooting for either Partizan or Red Star)
Igor`s father, Niko Kisic was a member of the SDS party since it was founded and a delegate to the municipal Assembly of Visoko. He raised Igor in the Orthodox spirit.
In May 1992, Islamic fundamentalists expelled the Kisic family from Visoko.
Upon arrival in Ilijas, Igor came to like the unit of Duke Vasket Vidovic and he asked his father permission to join the unit.
12 years old, Igor becomes the youngest fighter in the army of Republic of Serbs, which made him the darling of the entire city. He was full of enthusiasm, confident of victory and a final liberation. Appearing together with the Duke and the soldiers of his unit caused an admiration towards him from the citizens. He became an idol of his peers.
One October morning 1994, the childhood of Igor Kisic was interrupted. A shell was fired from Visoko and killed our young favorite.
The entire city of Ilijas was at the funeral of little Igor. Women wept and even tough hardcore fighters had problems hiding their tears. It was the most difficult day of Duke Vidovic:s life.
After the funeral, Igors father, Niko joined the unit of the Duke, saying “where my son stopped, I will continue!”
When even tough and battle-hardened fighters cry
We realise how sad and unfair it was for our little angel to die
Let`s never forget the young heroes who died for our freedom!!
