Disrupted beauty
On mount Cakor Sep 2, 1975, the student Branka Djukic from the village of Meteha was murdered.
Branka Djukic, a beautiful and bright young girl. She was 18 years old. She defended her honor when thugs were trying to rape her. She managed to fight them off. In their inability to touch her body, they brutally murdered her instead.
She went to be enrolled in the fourth year of high school in Pec (Peja). This was done faster than she expected and the same day she returned and got off the bus in Mount Cakor.
On her way home suddenly two young men appeared in front of her and woulld not allow her to pass.
She managed to push them away and continued towards home.
One of them caught her arm, and at that moment she felt some incredible power coming over her a power that managed to disrupt the beasty aims of the attackers. She spat one of them and violently yanked away from their grip and walked away.
When the beasts saw that they coulld not do what they wanted to her, they started to shoot at the beauty. Branka was fatally wounded and she fell on the edge of the meadows.
The shooters fled. Left was pure youth on the grass left to die.
Next day at dawn the father of Branka, Rade heading for work and following the same path, found the dead beauty. He coulld not beleive it was his Branka because she was supposed to be in Pec.
He stood there as a tree struck by lightning in the appearance of the dead body of his child. Sorrow covered mount Cakor as he took his child into his arms and brought her home. The sky over the mountain was crying, sadness fell over their home
Shortly after, the police caught the perpetrators. It was two Albanians from arround Pec and Decani.
