"U.N. Serb Report Arrived Too Late"

Associated Press:
Quote:
United Nations: An hour after the Security Council clamped sanctions on Serbia on Saturday, it received a report - made public Wednesday - saying Belgrade does not control the main Serbian militia fighting in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The report by U.N. Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali and his chief peacekeeper, Marrack Goulding, also said Croatians are involved in the fighting in Bosnia.
Security Council ambassadors are wondering now whether they were too tough on Serbia.
On Saturday, the council voted 13-0, with two abstentions, to clamp sanctions on Serbia and Montenegro, the two republics remaining in Yugoslavia.
A Western diplomat said Wednesday that if council members had seen the report before the vote, the resolution would have barely squeaked through.

SHOCKING - isn't it?!!!
How in the world could document of such importance simply be STOLEN?!!! Who is to believe that?
What are the forces that wanted Bosnian calamity to unravel?
The same day, the same five sentences of the above crucial information appeared somewhere deep (deep and hidden) inside New York Times, too. But why was any truth revealed at all? It is a puzzle. Maybe, this was simply in following the infamous Anglo-Saxon tradition of adding insult to injury? They certainly knew that those who were to be hurt by this injustice would find the above few sentences; the sentences which basically say: "I did it to you - and this is how!"
Whatever the motives - the effect was one of too-little-too-late. Even when some truth about Yugoslavia was ever to be presented in the Western media - it was always presented in a half-done way. The same here. For example notice the use of the word "Serb" in the title! What is it doing there? Isn't that simply a lie? How can anyone call a report by U.N. Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali and Marrack Goulding - a "Serb Report"? Neither Boutros Boutros-Ghali nor Marrack Goulding are Serb and the report they wrote was about Bosnia and all three people (Serbs, Croats and Bosnian Muslims) that got entangled in that bloody, all-against-all civil war.
And - yes! - the sanctions against the Serbian people were not just tough but Draconian. But wasn't it all exactly what Washington wanted: to destroy the Serbian people and to support the Al Qaeda!
From day one, Washington was planning to open an Islam Fundamentalist wound in the heart of Europe. This gapping wound will destabilize the continent for a long time to come. The West European leaders were cowards as usual. Just like in case of Hitler and Munich, this time too -- to their own future detriment -- they went along with the strongest monkey on the block. Were they buying time, again? If they did, they did it at tremendous expense of the Serbian people.
